Ginger Snaps

Ingredients Instructions:
3/4 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup molasses
2 1/4 cup flour
2 tsp. Soda
1 tsp. Cinnamon
1 tsp. Ginger
1/2 tsp. Cloves
1/4 tsp. Salt

Prepare a bowl with about 1/2 cup sugar to sugar cookies.

Shape dough by rounded spoonfuls into balls (I recommend using your hand and rolling spoon sized balls). Roll the ball in a bowl of granulated sugar. Place sugared balls sugar side up on a lightly greased sheet 3" apart and press with fork in a cross shape..

Bake 375 degrees for 10-12 min.

Ginger snaps are one of my favorites. I have made several recipes in the past and this on is the best.

I got this recipe from a cook book when I was a kid.
